by Nathan Woods – LPOA 2nd Vice President
On February 11, 2015, the Police Officer’s Association of Lodi presented two, brand new bicycles to 16 year old Juan Pulido and his 14 year old brother, Jose. These two brothers were identified by members of the POAL after being involved in a hit and run vehicle vs. bicycle collision in the City of Lodi last week. Our POAL members learned that Jose and Juan both share the bicycle to ride from their home in Lodi, across town to Henderson Community School. Our POAL members, after learning of the rather difficult life circumstances surrounding Jose and Juan, recognized the need for these boys to receive these new bicycles. The POAL Board of Directors decided, without hesitation to donate the funding necessary to purchase the bicycles for Jose and Juan.
We hope that you will join us as we give back to these children in need while continuing to foster good, healthy relationships with the youth of our community and with the citizens of Lodi.
