Let a photographer loose at the Lodi Grape Festival and he’ll walk around with a big lens trying not to look suspicious in search of the “perfect” picture. You know … the one that captures a moment in time for which people pay you big money and bestow great honors. That didn’t happen last Saturday, but it was fun trying.
Faces are my favorite subject, so I started off with the rides that elicit the greatest fear. Those are the ones I stopped riding years ago when a minimum “height” limit was no longer an issue … but common sense and body mass were.
Later, as the sun began to set, I took full advantage of hygroscopic nuclei and airborne industrial pollutants to photograph the same torture machines against a beautiful summer sky of red and blue hues.
Maybe I caught you in the process. Check out my 2014 Grape Festival Photo Gallery by clicking this or one of the thumbnails below.
