On Saturday, April 26, Lodi Health honored its volunteers at its annual volunteer appreciation luncheon. The luncheon was held in Lodi Health’s Vineyard Café.
Volunteers honored for milestone hours of service include: Janice McGill, 9,200 hours; Lester Sweet, 3,500 hours; Donna Billups, Inez McKinsey and Michael Solazzo, 2,000 hours; Lois Carpenter, Karla Franck and Carrol Merry, 1,500 hours; Carol Claypool and Edie DiPiero, 1,000 hours; Mary Beth Baker and Gail Burcell, 700 hours; Barbara Johnson, Duwain Miller and Ariel Wilkinson, 500 hours; Monica Guerrero Lara, Jeanne Hanson, Kathy Hill, Denise Long, Dorothy MacGregor, Grace Marsh, Lee Mulford, and Christine Pinaglia, 300 hours; Ilse Arreola, Pardeep Beesla, Ally Drake, Paige Gash, Asma Khan, Mary Ki, Amanda Munoz, Dung Nguyen, John Nguyen, Alexandria Piedra, Jeryl Platt, Alejandro Romo, Regina Santiago, Jesse Shergill, Adrianne Silver, Angela Valenzuela and Maria Viramontes, 100 hours.
Lodi Health has two volunteer programs for those wishing to volunteer. There is an adult program for those over 18 and a junior volunteer program for high school students 16 years or older.
In 2013, 192 volunteers donated 15,234 hours of their time. Volunteers work in various service areas including the gift shop, courtesy desk, finance department, business office, human resources, adult day care, the Walter E. Reiss Outreach Care medical practice and medical library. They also work as escorts, patient advocates, prayer volunteers, Eucharistic ministers and surgery liaisons.
