Hundreds of Lodi High graduates from the Class of 1972 gathered from around the country Friday evening to register and begin their 40th anniversary celebration. Saturday night the venue changed to Hutchins Street Square where they ate good food, danced and enjoyed renewing old friendships. A picnic was held on Sunday afternoon to cap a full weekend.

I agree … it would have been nice to have captured everyone. Unfortunately, individuals were moving targets, groups morphed from one set of people to another set made up of common people, many stood in circles with only one visible face, and I had to respect the privacy of those who either didn’t want their picture taken or were in private conversations. Many began requesting photos with their friends, which I was happy to accommodate. Overall, I think the photos captured the friendly spirit, variety and maturity of the Class of ’72. If you’d like photos of particular people, perhaps you could post their names here and someone may reply who captured their image.

One solution, perhaps, would have been to capture photos of everyone’s arrival through the door, while all were smiling and looking their best!
It is a shame many who attended are not in any of the photos, and some of the same people are in multiple photos.
