Lodi Amateur Vitners Honor Their Founders

L.A.V.A. (Lodi Amateur Vintners Association) held a banquet last evening to honor its founding members. Festivities including wine tasting, raffles, auctions, dinner and live music.

Founded in 2001 for the purpose of promoting amateur wine making in the Lodi area, L.A.V.A. meets monthly to share ideas and resources concerning wine making. Regular guest speakers, drawn from the local commercial wine industry, provide members an opportunity to improve everything from trimming grape vines to bottling finished homemade wines.
