“No Animals Were Harmed” – NOT!

Instead of the familiar sounds of people swimming, playing baseball, volleyball or cricket,  Blakely Park sounded more like a civil war battlefield complete with canon fire today.

Actually, no people were at risk.  But at the same time there were no disclaimers declaring … “No Animals Were Harmed”, like you see in the movies.  In fact, a few inches under ground gophers were dropping like flies thanks to a slick system that creates havoc for those furry, maloccluded creatures that tear up your sod.

Men from ABOL Rodent Control could be seen mixing a gaseous cocktail of propane and oxygen, digging shallow holes, inserting a delivery probe, triggering an ignition switch … then KABOOM!

  2. I think this form of rodent control is far superior to the more traditional methods (poison). Actually, it is probably more humane too.

  3. At least they’re not like those pest control employeees such as Clark Pest Control who get their outside spray apparatus and insecticides ready, put on their mask respirators, those who actually bother to use them, and commence spraying those noxious insecticides and pesticides on lawns and flower beds for watering systems to wash down the storm drains and into the Mokelumne River or leech into the groundwater, which we then drink. And when the wind blows briskly, they continue spraying their noxious pollutants with most migrating into our already overly polluted SJ county air or the unwary next door or nearby neighbors faces Android respiratory system.
