A reporter is a type of journalist who researches and presents information to others. Reporters gather their information in a variety of ways, including tips, press releases, confidential sources and by witnessing events. They also perform research through interviews, public records, and other sources.
Until recently, this has been the purview of professional journalists employed by a newspaper, television or radio station. However, sometimes the message is not popular … sometimes the message is not considered “news worthy” … sometimes the message is too easily distorted when reported on by another.
