It’s a good thing I had a camera Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 at the annual Grape Bowl Classic Band Field Show because it was a spectacle difficult to describe. A score of High School bands from California and Utah competed in 15 minutes intervals with enthusiastic precision.
The timed event required each contingent to manually transport all equipment, instruments, platforms and staging onto the field and remove same with the speed and efficiency of a Indy 500 pit crew. The audience of mostly students and parents were treated to beautiful costumes, dance, comic theater, music and a ballet of motion. If you missed it … watch for it next year.
