On November 8th, 2011, Joseph Wood (Neighborhood Services Manager) presided over a public forum dedicated to homeless outreach efforts in Lodi at a meeting of the Lodi Improvement Committee chaired by Mr. Bob Takeuchi. Over a 90 minute period, presentations by several local benefit organizations, government agencies and concerned individuals threw light on the problem and helped to define the many complex issues. LODI360 videotaped the meeting for the community and presents it below in three parts. Please refer others to LODI360 who may appreciate the information.

Great job Keith, for bringing this ongoing homeless problem in Lodi to the forefront for the community to see those who are among the many advocates and volunteers that work with, assist, mentor and provide hands on resources to those facing all types of homeless situations. To those who are interested in contributing, mentoring or volunteering, there is a monthly meeting of A Hand Up – Not A Hand Out, a Lodi not-for-profit homeless advocacy group, the first Tuesday of every month at the Uptown Thrift Shop at 21 Sourh Sacramento street. All meetings are open to the public and we urge all to attend.
