Dr. Russell Steele Golf Tournament

Every year the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation hosts the Dr. Russell Steele Memorial Golf Tournament.  Golfers, sponsors, volunteers and all who supported this year’s event had a great day raising funds for Lodi’s community hospital.  In addition to a round of golf at Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, participants enjoyed a fine meal, raffle, and a live auction conducted by the hospital’s President, Chief Executive Officer and master auctioneer, Joe Harrington.

  1. Keith,

Just wanted you to know the golf tournament is named after my husband, Dr. Steele, whom I lost on January 26, 2008. I’m the older (not old!!) blonde in the print dress, (I’m the only one in that picture) trying to smile into the camera. I have been there every year, this being the 4th since his death and I am so humbled. I don’t play golf, but I always come for dinner. Joe Harrington is a good friend, and an outstanding auctioneer. Thank you for the pictures. I will treasure them always.

    • Mrs. Steele,

Thank you for commenting. It was a pleasure to photograph the tournament and try to capture the prevailing mood. As seen from all the smiling faces, it continues to be a happy event that both benefits the community and respectfully honors your husband’s memory.
